Many of the research activities are related to application fields. For example the development of the unique radiographic equipment that was installed at the CCR "La Venaria Reale"
that was designed on the basis of restorers needs and it is used primarily as a diagnostic tools before restoration.
Moreover, starting from research activities focused on Cultural Heritage, originated TecnArt S.r.l. an academic spin off of the University of Torino,
developed in tight contact with the researcher (and which represents the technology transfer). Its activity
is partially based on the instrumentations designed and realised or used by Physics Department and INFN.
